Besides our emoji and memory games, we have a Platformer game: jump and run through procedurally generated side-scrolling levels, collect coins, grab power-ups, avoid enemies, and reach the flag. It's a classic style that works well when you want quick levels you can play back-to-back.
Why platformers work in quick sessions. Each level has a clear goal: reach the flag. You're not committing to a long campaign; you're playing one level (or a few), and you decide when to stop. The game uses procedurally generated infinite levels, so there's always something new, and you can chain levels together for as long as you feel like playing.
It switches your focus. If you've been at a screen doing the same task, a platformer asks for something different: timing, spatial awareness, quick decisions. Jump over a gap, duck under a hazard, shoot an enemy when you have the fire flower. That shift can help reset your attention so you return to your main task a bit fresher.
How to play (in 30 seconds). Use the arrow keys to move; S (or the jump button on mobile) to jump; Down to crouch when you're big; A to run or shoot when you have the fire power-up. Collect the mushroom to grow, the fire flower to shoot. Avoid enemies or stomp them (or clear them from a distance with fire). Reach the flag to finish the level. Press Enter to start.
Tips to get further. When you have the fire flower, hold A to run and shoot - you can clear enemies from a distance instead of risking a jump. Time your jumps so you land on the next platform; overshooting often means a pit or an enemy. On mobile, tap the game area first if the keyboard doesn't work, then use the on-screen buttons. One level at a time is a good pace if you want small sessions, but you can also blaze through a long chain of levels.
Use it in flexible sessions. Open the Platformer page, play one or two levels if you just want a taste, or keep going and see how far you can get. No sign-up - just a run-and-jump session you can extend as long as you like.
