📖 About Arcade Maze

Category: arcade

Arcade Maze
Arcade Maze is a retro maze-chase game inspired by classic arcade gameplay. Guide your character through the maze, collect all the dots, and stay safe from the ghosts. Each level is about smart routing: keep moving, clear the maze efficiently, and survive until the next stage.

How to Play 🎮

  • Start - Press N to begin.
  • Move - Use Arrow Keys (← → ↑ ↓) to navigate the corridors.
  • Collect dots - Eat all dots to complete the level.
  • Avoid ghosts - If a ghost catches you, you lose a life. Stay alert and keep an escape route.
  • Pause - Press P to pause/unpause.

Game Features 🎯

  • Classic maze navigation with dot collection
  • Ghost enemies that force you to plan your path
  • Multiple levels with increasing challenge
  • Retro-style gameplay focused on reflexes and route planning

Arcade Maze tips 💡

  • Don’t rush dead ends - If you enter a corner, make sure you can get back out (or be ready to reposition fast).
  • Plan a route with an exit - While chasing dots, always keep a safe direction you can retreat to.
  • Move with purpose - Sudden direction changes can help you avoid ghosts, but avoid "panic zig-zagging" that traps you.
  • Use power moments - When power-ups are available, take advantage to reset your position, then return to your dot-clearing route before they wear off.

A bit of history

Games like Arcade Maze are strongly connected to Pac-Man, one of the most iconic arcade titles ever made. Pac-Man was released in 1980 by Namco and quickly became famous for the "eat pellets, avoid ghosts, and chase back during power moments" loop that defined a whole genre of maze-chase games.
