⚡ Emoji Reaction

Emoji Reaction is a short reaction-time game you play in the browser. Each round picks one target emoji from a small set. While time is running, the main display keeps changing on a fixed rhythm: sometimes you see your target, and sometimes a distractor from a different set. Tap or press only when the target is showing—wrong taps count as misses.

Round flow: Start a run with the Start button (see keyboard notes below). You have 30 seconds; the timer at the top counts down. When the target is on screen, the play area highlights so you know it’s time to react. Correct taps record your speed in milliseconds; the HUD shows hits, misses, accuracy, your best reaction this run, and the current difficulty.

🖥️ Desktop controls: Press Enter to start a round or stop it early (same as Start/Stop). While a round is running, press Space or click Tap! as soon as you see the target. Space only registers during an active run—start the round first.

📱 Mobile controls: Tap Start, then tap Tap! when your target appears in the main box. Avoid panic-tapping on distractors.

⏱️ Session length: Each run lasts 30 seconds. Watch the timer at the top for time left.

📊 Score & stats: The HUD shows hits, misses, accuracy, best reaction this run, countdown time, and difficulty. After the round, a summary includes average reaction (from hits) and personal bests in this browser; the statistics icon opens longer-term stats per difficulty.
